Gimmick/Biography:
BIO:
January 01, 1971 was met with celebration, but not by toasting to a new year with alcohol and good friends. Rather a new soul was born. The first baby to be born in Albany for the year 1971. In a hospital room at the Albany Medical Center a woman held her child for the first time. When asked what she was going to name the child she replied, "Lee." "Lee Kemp."
Lee Kemp grew up in Albany, New York. He ventured into the big city every now again but really knew nothing outside of the town he called home. He didn't grow up rich, but he also didn't grow up poor. He was raised by a single mother, Aria Kemp. His mother worked two jobs to support the family so Lee spent a lot of his childhood years without her in the home. He had several people he called friends, and only a select few he really got close to. Most of his spare time was consumed by watching television, but more specifically anything pro wrestling.
He grew up with dreams of a life full of fame and fortune like everybody did at one point in their lives. Lee clung on to the idea of doing something more than creating a normal life in Albany. Lee wanted to start a life outside of Albany and knew that pro wrestling was his ticket.
After graduating from college Lee began pursuing his dream and sought after a wrestling school to train. He was able to locate a local school called "The Proving Grounds". Lee enrolled in the school in the summer of 1995 and began training. It wasn't long before he felt confident enough to begin taking bookings. He got booked at shows but it seemed like he wasn't going anywhere. A few years passed and it seemed as though his dream was going to stay just that, a dream. On the advice of his wrestling instructor Lee began creating a character that would get him into the big organizations.
In 2001 Lee began calling himself Punisher and found a niche in the hardcore form of wrestling. 2001 was also the same year Lee met his ex wife Jennifer Andrews. Known to the wrestling world as Jennifer Jacobson. Along with Jacobson, Lee found moderate success in every company he wrestled for and captured several middle and upper rank titles throughout his career. Lee still believes he has what it takes to be a world champion as is willing to get back into the ring to prove it.
GIMMICK:
Lee Kemp was formally known as Punisher, a hardcore wrestling persona he has since shed. He no longer relies on the charatcter he created, but instead insists on just being himself. Lee isn't about gimmicks or characters anymore. Neither face nor heel Lee is at a point in his career where he feels his just needs to wrestle for himself and his own personal goal of becoming a world champion.
