Dear patrons and our beloved fans of the HWA,
It pains me to write these disappointing words, and as it truly is disappointing, it would be more disappointing if more lives were to be taken on account of forcing through our scheduled Reunion event in the wake of this dangerous trend going on. It has become clear to everyone that the incredulous allegations and conspiracy theories regarding a former HWA employee's death has become an unfounded and, quite frankly, disturbing movement based on, not facts, but internet gossip. This, as it is, isn't dangerous, but given the blurred lines between fantasy and reality, certain actors within the movement have inspired violence, terrorism, and cyber-attacks on HWAe, myself, and HWA's superstars.
After last year's traumatic events, this year was supposed to commemorate our unity and survival, but these recent attacks have successfully reopened wounds, triggered post traumatic stress, and continue to violate some of our most selfless, and loyal members at their residences. Threatening violence and melee upon the families of our superstars, bomb scares at the Royalty Entertainment Center, as well as death threats and promises of violence at our HWA Reunion event.
To make matters worse, our HWA Infinity website has been hacked and we, as well as fans, have been subject to this movement's defacto leader who shall NOT be named here. In this video, he claims lies as truth, spreads false information that incites public distrust, and even suggests attending the HWA Reunion event disguised as HWA fans in order to gain access, and then, terrorize those in the arena... all in the name of a man who was laid to rest, and before that, was imprisoned for high crimes of the highest degree.
This man is not an idol. This man is not a martyr.
With that said, the growing dissension that exists in the weeks leading up to the event, combined with the looming climate of violence on our very door steps, with a heavy heart, it saddens me to make the righteous decision to cancel this year's HWA event effective immediately. We will be refunding those who have spent money for tickets to the event, and will honor any pre-sale perks acquired for early admission during our March offer.
I'm not going to sit here and make promises of returning because I do not have a crystal ball, but what I can tell you is, the year of 2021 can not continue at this time.
